The original Beagle price
On average, the purchase price of a Beagle puppy ranges between € 800 and € 2000. The difference in price depends on the following points.
- Age: a young puppy is more expensive than an older adolescent puppy
- Color: some colors are rarer or more popular, therefore more expensive.
- Country of origin: a puppy from Eastern Europe is cheaper, but you may know the stories. Buy directly from a breeder, so you know the background of your pup!
How much does it cost to feed a Beagle?
For every dog, we recommend that you check how much it costs to feed them. The Beagle is a medium-sized dog with a big appetite: a true gourmand. During its growth phase, it will eat more, but once fully grown, we advise you to keep an eye on it. Overweight is never healthy!
Expect to spend about 25 to 50 € per month on its food and reward treats.
How much are veterinary costs?
Generally, the Beagle is considered a healthy dog breed. At least, if you watch their weight and ensure regular exercise. However, like any dog, Beagles are prone to certain conditions. As with any dog, it is obviously best to have their vaccinations annually.
We only recommend flea treatment after an infestation. Many dog owners give it preventively,
but we advise against this because these products are often very chemical-based.
Expect about 100 € per year in veterinary costs, including worming.

How much does caring for a Beagle cost?
First of all, there is care. Fortunately, the Beagle is a fairly low-maintenance dog. Their coat care is minimal, so you don’t need to worry about grooming, except for trimming their nails, giving them a bath, brushing their coat, and other basic care steps, all of which you can do at home for a fraction of the cost.
How much does training a Beagle cost?
Training is also important. Beagles are intelligent, but because they were bred for prolonged hunting, they can be determined and stubborn. Good training can help during the first months that they are with you.
Of course, you can also train your Beagle yourself, which costs nothing – being consistent and patient are the basic rules.
