We sell only Belgian puppies, all born with us. This allows us to offer healthy puppies from a young age: ideal for socialization!

Woefkesranch: a passionate dog breeder

According to these forums, puppy mills have a much more negative meaning:
I quote: “A puppy mill breeder breeds dogs with only one goal in mind: to make as much money as possible in the shortest possible time. This often comes at the expense of the physical and mental health of the puppies he sells. How he makes that money is therefore less important… he doesn’t care how many litters a female dog has, whether the puppies are healthy, whether the puppies receive good socialization, and who the puppies end up with – not everyone has good intentions with a dog.” Often with the addition of horrific neglected animals. According to this description, Woefkesranch is obviously NOT a puppy mill. In Belgium, you are required to apply for a recognition number to breed puppies once you breed more than 3 litters per year or once you have more than 10 dogs.

This also means that you must comply with certain rules and, of course, are also checked by government services: not only by administrative services but also by animal welfare.

If we were to neglect our dogs as claimed on some forums, we would first have long lost our recognition, and our dogs would also be infertile: a dog only breeds in good conditions! Often, members of such forums are private – even illegal breeders – and do everything they can to discredit their competition.

Or extreme animal activists, who criticize everything and unknowingly strive for a world without animals. This year (2011), Woefkesranch has already existed for 20 years, 20 x 365 days: 7300 days we have been lovingly caring for our animals.
If you don’t do this with love, you look for another job. The proof that we are doing well, and we do not belong to those puppy mills are the emails we receive daily from our satisfied customers.

List of Puppy Mills Unjustly Includes Woefkesranch

In 2013, An Lemmens posted a list of more than 100 Puppy Mills on her Facebook page.
A list that is a true slander for our Ranch, as ‘puppy mill’ has become an insult.

But, what exactly is the meaning of a puppy mill?

A breeder who ‘earns’ money from the puppies? Then every hobby breeder is also a ‘puppy mill’,
no one breeds puppies to then give them away for free. In this respect, Woefkesranch is obviously a puppy mill!

Or, is a puppy mill a breeder who sells physically and mentally sick puppies, exploits female dogs, mistreats them…
then Woefkesranch is obviously not a puppy mill.

Puppy from a puppy mill?

We are specialized in about 10 breeds:

In choosing our breeds, we consider the health of the breed,
we choose a breed as healthy as possible.
In recent years, customers have preferred health over appearance.
They are right: a dog is our best friend,
