Rasseinfos

Tevreden hondengroet, Roefel
Our expected English Cocker litters
The English Cocker Spaniel is an alert, strongly built medium-sized dog with a harmonious and compact body. Males reach a shoulder height between 39 and 41 centimeters, while females are slightly smaller at 38 to 39 centimeters. Weight ranges from 13 to 16 kilograms for males and 12 to 15 kilograms for females.
Their most striking feature is their long, lobed ears that reach to the tip of the nose and are covered with long, straight hair. Their dark, oval eyes radiate intelligence and give them a friendly, alert expression. The skull is well developed with a distinct stop between the muzzle and the head, the muzzle being roughly as long as the skull.
The coat of the English Cocker Spaniel is medium-length, smooth and silky without curling or waviness. Around the ears, forelegs, chest and the back of the hind legs the hair is longer and forms elegant feathering. The tail is carried cheerfully, but not higher than the topline, and is in constant motion when the dog is active.
The color palette is impressively varied: from solid black, red, gold or liver to multiple colors such as black & tan, parti-color (white with colored patches) and roan colors in blue, orange or lemon. The nose can be black or brown depending on the coat color, which contributes to their characteristic appearance. This combination of elegance and functionality makes the English Cocker Spaniel a truly attractive dog.

The minimum age to acquire a dog is eight weeks for Belgian puppies. If you want to bring a dog in from abroad, it must be at least fifteen weeks old and be in possession of a rabies vaccination. For the socialization and training of an English Cocker Spaniel it is therefore best to purchase a puppy around the minimum age and of Belgian origin.
